Lodi Locals
Monday!
It’s the last full week of April, and we are not letting it go quietly. Before we dive into everything May has waiting for us, there are still a few things to look forward to right now: craft classes, food trucks, and bingo are all on the horizon this week. Keep reading!
But first, a little weekend recap, because around here we don’t just share the events, we show up to them too.
This weekend we made it out to the Spring Awakening event at Woo Girl! Cellars (yes, the one we mentioned last week!) and stopped by Fierro Fuel, and both were absolutely worth it.
Woo Girl! did not disappoint. Everyone showed up in their best spring pastels, the music was fantastic, and the dance floor? Gorgeous. New friends were made, which honestly is one of the best things about events like this; it’s such a great place to socialize. The Granache rosé lived up to every bit of the hype: refreshing, elegant, exactly what a spring afternoon calls for. And the sandwiches were superb.

The flowers were all in full bloom, and the landscape was so stunning it genuinely felt like you’d escaped somewhere far away…even though it’s only a 17-minute drive from Woodbridge.

If they host another event, we are highly recommending you go. No hesitation.
And the strawberry matcha at Fierro? Just as refreshing and satisfying as expected. A perfect cap to the weekend. If you haven’t had a chance to go grab a coffee or matcha from them yet, definitely add it to your schedule!
Now let’s get into this week! - Kylie Talamantez

Tribal Seeds | Saturday, April 25 | Doors Open 4:30 PM
Five Windows is doing something really cool this spring. They put together a whole concert series called Five Window Fest and the lineup is genuinely impressive. We're talking about multiple ticketed events running through late May, each one with a different vibe and a different crowd.
Up first is April 25th with Tribal Seeds headlining alongside Dub Souljah and Amp Melo. If you're into reggae, this is your night. Doors open at 4:30 pm and tickets are already moving. Then on May 2nd, country artist Elijah Scott takes the stage for what's being called a one of a kind beer garden concert experience. And wrapping up the series on May 23rd is a throwback you didn't see coming: Mike Jones and the Ying Yang Twins. Yes, really.
Each show is ticketed and all ages. You can grab tickets and see the full lineup here.

Love Lodi Day | Saturday, April 25 | Starts at 8:00 AM
This is one of those events that makes you genuinely proud to live here. Love Lodi is Lodi's citywide day of service, now in its 11th year, and this Saturday about 700 volunteers will spread out across the city to work on over 30 projects. We are talking about cleaning up Lodi Lake, landscaping at local nonprofits, and giving back in about every way you can think of. The day kicks off with a rally at Hutchins Street Square at 8:00 am, volunteers head out to their projects at 9:00 am, and everyone comes back together by noon for a free community picnic and nonprofit fair.
More than 7,500 people have shown up for this thing over the years. That is a real number. If you want in, you can sign up and pick your project here. Bring gloves and wear something you do not mind getting dirty.

Brisket. Cold beer. Live music. Cornhole. That is your Saturday.
Lodi BeerFest is back at the Grape Festival Grounds with 30 plus breweries pouring. Five Window, Lodi Beer Co., WTF? Beer Co., Guinness, Sierra Nevada, Happy Dad, and more. You get a tasting glass at the door. General Admission is 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at $40 advance or $50 at the door. VIP gets you in at 1:00 pm for $50 and the extra hour is worth it.
The Spirit Lounge is back too, running separately from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm with bourbons, whiskeys, and tequilas from names like Yellowstone Bourbon and Angel's Envy. Tickets for that are $90 in advance.
Not drinking? Come anyway. The California State BBQ Championship runs all day alongside the festival, free and all ages. 30 plus teams competing on chicken, ribs, brisket, and pork. Plates available straight from the competitors starting at 11:30 am.

Patitas Tacos at Jeremy Wine Co. | Saturday, April 25 | 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
A Taco Truck Worth the Drive is Coming to Jeremy Wine Co.
Mark your calendars, Lodi Locals! Patitas Tacos is pulling up to Jeremy Wine Co. at the Lockeford location on Saturday, April 25th, and you are not going to want to miss this one.
Patitas Tacos is a husband and wife-owned family business out of Elk Grove, built on a deep love for authentic street food and a commitment to doing things the right way. Their inspiration comes straight from the streets of Mexico, and every taco they serve reflects that. They cook with only the finest, high-quality ingredients and never use seed oils or refined oils, just pure, natural goodness. So yes, you can have your taco (or tacos more like it) and feel good about it too.

Their mission is simple: honor traditional recipes while embracing clean, health conscious cooking practices. It is the kind of food that is made with intention, and you can taste the difference.
The truck will be set up and serving from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, which makes it the perfect excuse to spend a Saturday afternoon sipping wine (I recommend the 2023 Zinfandel Block 1 due to the subtle pepper and spice notes) and eating tacos in the sun. Jeremy Wine Co. is located at the Lockeford winery, and honestly, the pairing practically plans itself.
Grab your people and head out!
