Lodi Locals
Good morning, Lodi. Easter weekend is here and this town has plenty going on to make the most of it. The weather is showing up, the weekends are filling up, and there is genuinely no shortage of reasons to get out of the house right now.
In today's Lodi Locals:
Easter weekend has a full lineup and you need to know about it
A candle-making class on Wednesday that is basically the perfect mid-week reset
We got parents covered with local groups, resources, and where to find your people
Let's get into it.

Easter Morning Sunrise Paddle | Sunday, April 5, 2026 | 6:00 AM
I am loving how paddle and kayak season is finally back in full swing! Easter Sunday, join fellow paddlers at the boathouse at 6 AM for a peaceful river paddle timed perfectly with the 6:43 AM sunrise. You’ll be back on dry land by 7:45, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the holiday! Maybe while you’re out on the water, the Easter Bunny can be at home hiding the eggs for the kiddos.
Bring some breakfast snacks and your favorite morning drink to sip along the way because nothing beats coffee (or mimosas, no judgment!) on the calm river at dawn. Spots are $55 with equipment rental or $20 if you’re bringing your own, so grab your reservation here before it fills up. This one is truly special!

🏡 Family & Kids Corner
Each day, we’ll be sharing local resources, activities, and helpful information available right here in our community, most of them free and easy to access.
Today, we’re starting with something many parents are looking for: both online and in-person groups where you can meet others, feel supported, and find your people.
Lodi MOPS & MomsNext | Facebook Page | 600+ followers
It's a Facebook group and local meeting space for moms in every season of life, whether you have a newborn on your hip or a teenager rolling their eyes at you from across the room. The whole idea behind it is pretty simple: find your people. Their meetings are built around helping moms connect and actually build a community with one another, the kind where you can text someone at 10 pm when you need to vent or swap advice over coffee without judgment.
Peanut App – Lodi Moms | App-Based Community | 900+ local user
This app connects moms based on location, kids’ ages, and shared interests. It’s ideal if you want to find one or two nearby moms for walks, coffee, or quick playdates. Think of it as a faster, more direct way to meet people without sorting through large group posts.
Lodi Fun Moms | Facebook Group | 3.5K members
An activity-driven group where parents share local events, kid-friendly outings, and weekend ideas. It’s less about deep discussion and more about getting out of the house. Great for finding last-minute plans or new places to take your kids.
One-Eighty Programs | In-Person
If you've lived in Lodi for any amount of time, you've probably heard someone mention One-Eighty. This place has been quietly changing lives in our city for years (23 years to be exact), and it deserves way more credit than it gets. Built around the idea that people, especially young ones, are capable of making a complete turnaround, One-Eighty offers counseling, mentoring, adventure trips, and family programming all under one roof. It's not a drop-in social group, but it is the kind of place that brings families together around something that actually matters. If you're looking to plug into the heartbeat of this community, start here. Visit 180lodi.org or call (209) 339-2308.
Lodi Community Center | In-Person
Sometimes the best kept secrets in a town are the places that have been there all along. The Lodi Community Center offers programs and services for youth, families, and seniors, making it one of those rare spots where multiple generations of a community actually show up in the same place. It's not a structured parent group with a sign-in sheet and name tags, but if you're someone who finds your people by just showing up somewhere good, this might be your spot. Give their Facebook page a follow to stay in the loop.
✨Community Spotlight

Tequileros Cantina - Downtown Lodi
Built Here in Lodi
It started the way a lot of things do here, with one small idea and a lot of consistency. A local Lodi food business that once served customers from a single truck has grown into something much bigger, with around 20 locations, while still keeping the same familiar feel people were drawn to from the beginning.
What makes this story stand out is not just the growth, but how grounded it still feels. It reflects something simple about Lodi, steady work, familiar faces, and something built over time. It is the kind of place families recognize, kids get excited about, and people return to without thinking twice, whether it is after school or on the weekend.
It is a quiet reminder that some businesses become more than just a place to eat. They become part of the routine, part of the community, and part of people’s everyday lives.

“This ball of fur is my sweet girl Kaylan. I got her as a puppy and she has spent every day with me since. Once I heard the term soul dog, I knew she was mine. She has had 17 years of adventures and beach trips but these days she likes to come with me to work, where she has the best job, to greet everyone in the morning and sleep the rest of her shift.” - Kaylan’s Human
