Lodi Locals
Good morning, Lodi! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the weather to make up its mind. Going from thunderstorms to 80 degrees and sunny has been conflicting for my mindset, schedule, and closet.
Thankfully after today, weather conditions are looking mostly clear until this upcoming Sunday so let’s talk about some fun things you can plan for this week.

Events This Week

Idol Beer Works
Bingo Night | Tuesday, April 14 | 6:00 pm
Buy a pint of beer and get a bingo card. That sounds pretty fair to me considering how fun bingo is when you can win prizes and compete against your friends and strangers. Also as a reminder, they host this EVERY Tuesday night! I’m actually planning on attending this one myself, so I’ll let you know more in depth next week how it goes and add pictures for you!
📍 IDOL Beer Works, 100 S Sacramento St Suite A, Lodi, CA 95240
Soy Into You - Candle Bar + Shop
Candle Making | Wednesday–Saturday, April 15–18 | 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
Did you know that you can make your own candles here in Lodi? I didn’t until I was walking from the office to West Oak Nosh and smelled the most comforting scents wafting from the business next door to Her Pretty Things. Soy Into You isn’t a new business; but the storefront is definitely new.
Sam is the owner and she will walk you through the entire process and is so informative on the process of wax and scent blending! She offers walk-in candle making classes Wednesday through Sunday this week from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Last call for this class is an hour before the shop closes.
If you cannot make it this week, that is entirely okay because Sam is constantly updating the calendar on when walk-in classes are available on her website. Additionally, if you want to come in with a bigger group, you can always call and make a reservation so she can prepare!
📍 Soy Into You, 9 S Sacramento Street, Lodi, CA

Spring Awakening At The Estate | Saturday, April 18 | All Day
Come down to WOO GIRL! Cellars this Saturday to kick off the spring season! It is encouraged to come dressed in spring tones, florals, and greens! I’ve attached a mood board for inspiration below!

It’s strongly encouraged to RSVP so they can prepare the right amount of food and accommodations so if you plan on going, just click the link!

Underglaze Transfer Workshop | Thursday, April 16 | 5:30 pm
This Thursday, Meet The Maker is hosting a workshop on underglaze transfer. If you don’t know what that is, it’s also called decal transfer or lithography transfer. In layman’s terms, it’s a cool way to decorate your pottery that’s similar to printing.
Instead of hand painting 10 hearts around your ceramic piece (which if you’re me, one heart will be pretty, three will be lopsided, and the remaining won’t even look like hearts), this process will allow you to copy and repeat the same consistent pattern on your pottery and help you add lettering and other more intricate details.
This workshop is $40 and you can grab your spot here.
📍 Meet The Maker, 1110 W Kettleman Ln, Lodi, CA

Astronomy In The Park | Saturday, April 25 | 7:15 pm
This is for those of you who love planning ahead! On Saturday, April 25th, Oak Grove Regional Park is turning into your own personal window to the universe for Astronomy in the Park, a free, family-friendly evening of stargazing and celestial discovery.
Hosted beneath the park’s gorgeous oak tree canopy, the night kicks off at 7:15 pm with the Stockton Astronomical Society setting up powerful telescopes so you can see things like Jupiter, Venus, the Orion Nebula, and even the Bode’s Galaxies (M81 & M82) with your own eyes. The sunset is at 7:50 pm, so you’ll catch that golden hour too. Not a bad way to start the night.
It’s a free event, but parking is $6!
What’s in store:
🔭 Telescope viewings of The Moon, Jupiter, Venus, Orion Nebula (9:30 pm)
🌌 Astronomy presentations from local space experts
🚀 Space-themed crafts and activities at the Nature Center
🌟 Interactive fun for kids and curious minds of all ages
📍 Oak Grove Regional Park, 4520 W Eight Mile Rd, Stockton, CA 95209
✨Community Spotlight
Most people only think about the Grape Festival Grounds once a year… but honestly? That place stays busy, and this Saturday is proof.
The Lodi Gem & Mineral Society is taking over the grounds on April 18th for their Tailgate Sale & Rock Swap, and if you’ve never heard of it, you’re not alone — but you’re also seriously missing out. This is one of those hidden gem (pun intended) local events that has a whole devoted community behind it and not nearly enough people knowing it exists.
Picture this: tables lined with rocks, minerals, raw gems, handcrafted jewelry, plants, tools, and art — all being bought, sold, and traded by rockhounds, collectors, and lapidary artists who live for this stuff. It’s part swap meet, part treasure hunt, and 100% a good morning.
Oh, and it gets better — the California Bluegrass Association Spring Campout is happening at the same time, so there’s live music setting the mood while you browse. Gems and bluegrass.
🐾 Cutest Pups In Lodi
We are running low on pup submissions and that is simply not okay. If you have a dog or know someone who does, hit the button below and send us a photo. They deserve their moment.

Miles & Ollie

Winnie
“Winnie (the light one) is our newest addition and Miles (brown) and Ollie (brown and white) have welcomed her with open arms. Winnie and Miles were rescues, both abandoned by their previous owners and were wary on giving their love away. Now they are the three musketeers, brother and sister through and through. Miles loves attention and pets, Ollie loves his space and his toy squirrel, and Winnie loves to play. They are inseparable from my husband and I, forever our shadows. We call them boys and girl, or boysenberry for short.” - Winnie, Ollie, and Mile’s Human.
