Sunset Paddle

March 20th, 2026 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Enjoy the beautiful summer weather we’re starting to have with a sunset paddle on the Mokelumne River! This friday, the Lodi Boathouse is hosting their annual guided paddle that’s family friendly. It’ll be 80 degrees when the paddle starts at 7:00 pm, so be sure to still wear sunscreen and breathable clothing. As far as pricing goes, it’s $55 per person with all equipment included (kayak, paddles, and a personal flotation device). However, it’s only $22 if you bring your own equipment and $18 for children under 10 years old! Arrive at 6:40 pm to get all of your equipment set up and to ensure that everyone embarks on time!

To book this experience, go to LodiBoatHouse.com

Also remember that if you can’t make it this time, you can always take your own paddle boards or kayaks onto Lodi Lake or rent some from the boathouse! Just be safe and enjoy the time immersed in nature!

Recharge Your Energy

Feeling sluggish after that long tule fog winter? Us too. Enjoy some sunlight, community, and good vibes at Appellation Lodi (Wine and Roses) on March 22nd for an hour long sound bath and meditation!

This relaxing experience is the perfect way to end the weekend and gear up for another week. It’s from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm and tickets are $35. Bring your yoga mat or a comfy blanket and a pillow if you would like! Enjoy not only the sounds from the bowls; but also the very nature immersive sounds of the hotel’s parrots talking to each other. If you approach them and tell them “hello,” they may just say “hello” back!

This event is hosted at the hotel and spa every single month so if you can’t make it this time, there will be a next one soon! I’ve personally gone to this event and loved it. You’re laying under a canopy of trees as the sunlight peaks through the leaves and branches with other likeminded people who are just looking to relax and have a great time. Don’t be afraid to talk to other attendees! This is a great way to socialize and get to know more of your community!

Affordable Family Friendly Fun

Us parents need to get out of the house too and sometimes that means that the kiddos come with! Here are a few free or under $20 events for kids and families in Lodi, CA

Crocheting At The Library

March 24th, 2026

Did you know that every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month the Lodi Public Library hosts a crochet evening for kids ages 8 and up? I didn’t! As long as an adult is present, kids can meet at the library from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm to work on something creative that they can be proud of.

It’s free thanks to the library’s generous sponsors and volunteers and you can be at any point in your crochet journey (including being a beginner).

Hoppy Eggventure & Jamboree At Hutchins Street Square

March 28th, 2026

First Baptist Church and the Hutchins Street Square Foundation have joined forces for the good of the children and families in Lodi!

They are hosting an exciting Easter event from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on March 28th right before the Easter holiday. There will be an egg hunt, games, prizes, and an opportunity for kids to meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny.

Clubs

Did you know we have an adult coloring club?

March 22nd, 2026 (12:00 pm-5:00 pm)

Sometimes I miss being a kid where you could just color all day and get satisfaction from how nicely you filled in predertimed boundaries.

Thankfully, that still exists in the adult world…and more importantly, in Lodi!

14 S. School Street

Scotto’s Wine & Cider hosts a regular adult coloring club in downtown Lodi where there are no rules! Just sit, socialize if you feel like it, and color your heart out for an afternoon. You can bring your own coloring book or borrow one from Scotto’s! No pressure, but you could also order a wine or cider to sip on while you color!
