Lodi Locals

Good morning, Lodi. We are proud to report zero errors in this edition, a statement we are making on April 1st with full confidence and zero regrets. In other news, a $5 concert, free dream catcher workshops, and a new bookstore coming to town, all real, all this week.

In today's Lodi Locals:

  • Easter weekend is about to go off at Jessie's Grove and Calivines

  • Two best friends are opening Lodi's newest bookstore

  • The full April live music lineup is here

Let's get into it.

Events This Week

Live Music at Five Window Beer Co | Friday, April 3rd | 7 p.m.

Remember when concert tickets used to be $25? I don't because I wasn't born yet, but I've heard it was a magical time to be alive. Believe it or not, I was able to find out that you can attend a concert in Lodi for $5 plus however much the drinks or pizza you order costs! Starting at 7 pm on April 3rd, Donovan Bryant will be playing on stage! If you love country music, this is a must!

Mokelumne Pink Moon Soundbath | Wednesday, April 1st | 5:00 pm

If you have been looking for a reason to slow down this week, this is it. WOO GIRL! Cellars is hosting their monthly Full Moon Soundbath tonight and it sounds genuinely amazing. You get a guided session with crystal bowls and breathwork inside their tasting room or out on the river deck, designed to help you quiet your mind, relax your body, and set some intentions. Very good Wednesday night activity honestly. Tickets are $40 and space is limited so you will want to grab yours in advance at woogirlcellars.com/events. Bring a yoga mat and whatever cushion or blanket makes you comfortable. 21+ only.

Art Exhibition at Double Dip Gallery | Saturday, April 4th | 4โ€“6 p.m.

If you're an art enthusiast who enjoys ice cream, head to Double Dip Gallery downtown for an art exhibition by Nina Boyd! Her collection is called, "Finding Light" and it will be on display at the gallery April 4th, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. You get an opportunity to meet Nina and enjoy refreshments as you explore what the gallery has to offer โ€“ and I HIGHLY recommend ordering an ice cream while you're there because you just can't top Gunther's Ice Cream.

I'm no art expert, but Nina's art is whimsical, bold in color, and surreal. You can always check out her art style before you go here!

Calvary Church Lodi Spring Event | Saturday, April 4th | 9:00 am

Free Easter fun for the whole family! Calvary Church Lodi is taking over Henry Glaves Park this Saturday with egg hunts, crafts, breakfast burritos, and raffle prizes. Egg hunts are staggered by age so every kid gets their moment: little ones ages 0 to 2 go at 9:00 am, ages 3 to 7 at 9:30 am, and ages 8 to 10 at 10:00 am. Honestly a really sweet setup so nobody gets steamrolled by the older kids. Bring the whole crew and come enjoy it!

Midnights Bookshop

Lodi book lovers, your wait is almost over. Amanda Zimmerman and Selena Moffett are bringing a second bookstore to town, and it's been a long time coming. The two best friends launched Midnights Bookshop as a traveling pop up at the Downtown Lodi Farmers Market and local fairs, and now they're opening a permanent storefront next month at Kettleman Station๐Ÿ“Midnights Bookshop โ€” 400 E Kettleman Ln, Suite 11, Lodi, CA 95240.

The name comes from Taylor Swift's 10th studio album (yes, they're fans). The shop focuses on contemporary fiction: romance, fantasy, sci-fi, and thrillers, including recent hits like the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. They've also added classics and a solid selection of frequently challenged books.

"We really thought there was a hole in Lodi for contemporary authors. We thought we could fill that gap with new titles and follow trends." - Amanda Zimmerman, Co-Owner

The response at pop-up events made the decision easy. Customers kept asking where the actual store was, and after a year of that, the friends figured Lodi was ready. Keep an eye on their social media for grand opening details.

๐Ÿพ Cutest Pups In Lodi

Last week we asked you all to show us your pups, and boy did you not disappoint!

Meet Mazzy! She is a one year old cocker spaniel with the sweetest personality and the floppiest ears in the game. When she is not melting hearts, you can find her on a stroll around Lodi Lake, running the trails at Vinewood Dog Park, or waiting very patiently at Dutch Bros for her pup cup. ๐Ÿพ
