Your Wednesday nights just got a serious upgrade. The Michael David Farmers Market is back for the summer and running every Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM out at Michael David Winery on CA-12, and best of all it is completely free to get in. Think of it as your midweek reset, fresh produce, rotating food trucks, artisan goods, and a glass of Michael David wine in hand while the evening cools down around you. Botanical Leaf Stamps Workshop | Saturday, May 23 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM |

This one is for the adults!  If you've been wanting to try something creative and hands-on, instructor Lindsey Rose is hosting a beginner-friendly block printing workshop at the Lodi Community Arts Center on Saturday, May 23rd from noon to 2:00 PM. This class is designed for all skill levels, so if you’ve never carved before, don’t feel intimidated! We all have to do something for the first time before we develop more skills and get great at it, so why not have this time be your start?

You'll learn the basics of block printing and carving, then design and create your own botanical leaf stamp to take home. All tools and materials are included, and with a small class size of just 5 to 16 students, you'll get real personalized attention from Lindsey throughout the session. This is Session 1 of an ongoing workshop series, and students who attend will get early priority registration for the next one.

Spots are $79 for members and $89 for non-members, with payment required in advance. To register, click here! and text Lindsey at 916.500.4411 to confirm your seat after payment. Questions? Reach her at [email protected].

11th Annual Rib Cook-Off | Sunday, May 24 | Wilson Family Winery | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Let's be honest, who doesn't love a Sunday that smells like BBQ and tastes like summer? Wilson Family Winery is bringing back their 11th Annual Rib Cook-Off and this is the kind of event that makes you want to show up hungry, stay late, and absolutely no one will judge you for it. (Vegans, we see you and we love you but this one might not be your moment. Don't worry, we've got you covered in future editions 🌱)

Competing teams will be firing up their best racks, Wilson Family wines will be flowing, and yes, there are slushies because summer officially has no rules. 🍹 Grab a glass, grab a plate, and plant yourself somewhere comfortable because you're going to want to try a little bit of everything.

Entry deadline has passed as of May 10th, so if you missed your shot to compete, just come hungry and let someone else do the grilling this time. Show up, taste everything, cheer on your favorite team, and enjoy a relaxed Sunday with great food and even better company.

Chef Todd is walking you through a signature dish straight from the Dreux Boys cookbook, Shrimp Creole and Remixed Creole Corn Chowder, and this isn't just a watch-and-taste situation. This is what you’ll be getting by the end of the class!

  • A step-by-step cooking instruction from Chef Todd himself

  • The recipe to recreate it all at home if you absolutely love the dish you make

Astronomy in the Park | Saturday, May 23 | Starts at 7:15 PM | Oak Grove Regional Park

Looking for a reason to get the kids outside and away from screens this weekend? Astronomy in the Park at Oak Grove Regional Park is the move and the best part? It's completely free to get in (just $6 cash for parking and yes, that covers the whole car 🙌).

This is one of those rare events where you can hand your kid a juice box, throw down a blanket, and actually feel like a good parent while doing absolutely nothing stressful. There's nothing to break, no "please don't touch that" moments, and no museum voice required. Just fresh air, oak trees, and the entire universe overhead. The Stockton Astronomical Society sets up their telescopes starting at 7:15 PM, and by 9:30 PM you'll have a shot at spotting the Hercules Globular Cluster which sounds made up but is very real and very cool. Venus, Jupiter, the Moon, and possibly Mercury at sunset are also on the lineup.

The Nature Center opens up early with space themed crafts and activities to keep little ones busy while you wait for the sky to get dark, and sunset hits at 8:15 PM so the timing is honestly perfect for families. Bring a blanket, pack some snacks, and let the kids ask a million questions to people who actually know the answers for once. Severe weather may cancel outdoor activities, so keep an eye on the forecast before you head out.

Community Pool Party at Enze Pool | Saturday, May 23 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM |

It is going to be HOT this weekend (okay only 83 degrees, but we will be in the mid 90’s by next week!) and we have just the cure. Enze Pool is throwing a FREE community pool party on Saturday, May 23rd from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and this is exactly the kind of Saturday your kids have been begging for. Wet and wacky pool games, pool basketball, high energy vibes, and zero cost to get in. Yes, really. Free. Totally free. Did we mention it's free? 💦

This is a come-as-you-are, bring-the-whole-crew kind of event. Whether your little ones are doing cannonballs off the side or you're the parent who claims they're "just watching" but somehow ends up in the pool anyway, there's something for everyone. It's family friendly, community driven, and honestly one of the best ways to kick off your weekend without spending a dime.

This event is made possible by the Brian M. Stocker Fund, so big thanks to them for making a free, fun summer day accessible to the whole Lodi community.

📍 Enze Pool | 1050 S Stockton St, Lodi, CA 95240

Grab your towel, slap on some sunscreen, and we'll see you at the pool!

Community Spotlight

If you haven't heard about Reformed Pilates Studio in Lodi yet, consider this your sign to go check them out because this local studio is doing something really special for our community. Tucked right inside is Good & Well, a matcha shop that we are fully obsessed with, and y'all, we are not exaggerating when we say it is the richest, most flavorful matcha in Lodi. Our personal recommendation? The salted honeycomb matcha. Get it. Trust us. You can thank us later. 🍵

📷 via Kylie Talamantez

The studio offers Pilates reformer classes, hot sculpt, yoga, and more, so whether you're a regular in the fitness world or just trying to get back into a routine, there's a class for you. It's the kind of place that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in, small, local, and genuinely invested in helping Lodi residents feel good. Plus knowing that a salted honeycomb matcha from Good & Well is waiting for you after class is honestly all the motivation you need to show up.

And this Saturday, May 23rd they are throwing Y2K themed classes and we are obsessed with it.

Dust off your low rise energy, grab a friend, and make a whole morning out of it. Sweat more than you think is humanly possible, laugh a lot, then reward yourself with a matcha because you earned it. Classes like this are exactly why supporting local studios matters because you are not getting a Y2K themed hot sculpt class at a big box gym. 💅
