Cruisin’ Revel Lodi Classic Car Show | Saturday, May 30 | 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Honestly, is there a more perfectly Lodi way to spend a Saturday morning than wandering around staring at gorgeous vintage cars? I don’t think so.
The Cruisin’ Revel Lodi Classic Car Show is happening this weekend and it is free, which means there is truly no excuse not to go. Classic car shows have always been part of the fabric of this town, and this one has a great backdrop over at Revel Lodi on Reynolds Ranch. It’s the kind of event where you show up thinking you’ll stay an hour and somehow it’s noon and you’re still not ready to leave.
Bring the family, bring your camera, and come ready to appreciate the kind of craftsmanship and care that goes into keeping these machines alive. Whether you’re a genuine gearhead or just someone who loves a beautiful Saturday morning outdoors, this one is worth the drive.
And yes, it’s free. Did I mention it’s free?

Grand Opening: Upper Empire | Friday, May 29| 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Lodi, a legit sneaker boutique just landed downtown and the guys are going to love this one.
Upper Empire is opening on School Street this Friday and they are not a newcomer to the game.
They've already built 19,000 Instagram followers and run the number one sneaker resell community on Facebook with over 12,000 members nationwide.
They ship worldwide. They just happen to also be from right here in Lodi, which makes this whole thing even better.
The shop is stocked with premium tennis shoes, fresh apparel, and curated merchandise that hits different from anything else in town.
If you've got a guy in your life who knows his sneakers, or you just want to finally have a local spot where the selection is actually worth getting excited about, this is it. They carry sister brands covering hats, skate gear, and kids' shoes too, so it's not just for one person.
And the location? Right in the heart of downtown Lodi on School Street. Walk there, grab dinner after, make a night of it. That's the kind of local business energy we've been waiting for.

Grand Opening: PTSD Pickles | Tuesday, May 26 | 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Okay, Lodi, this one made me smile. There’s a new local business in town and I am already obsessed with the name alone.
PTSD Pickles is the brainchild of Desiree Newman, and she just joined the Lodi Chamber of Commerce as one of its newest members. Her products are handcrafted and packaged with a patriotic flair that honestly makes them feel like a whole vibe, not just a condiment. If you’ve been looking for a reason to support a local small business this week, this is it.
The grand opening is happening Tuesday evening at Parkwest Casino, and note that the time is a little different than typical chamber ribbon cuttings, so don’t miss it. Come meet Desiree, try something delicious, and grab a jar (or two, I won’t judge).
And if you can’t make Tuesday, you can find PTSD Pickles at the Farmers Market every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. That’s a pretty easy reason to make the market a weekly habit.

If you're already thinking about what to do with the kids this summer, I have your answer and it is genuinely so cute.
Meet the Maker, Lodi's own ceramics studio run by the wonderful Michelle Hensley, just opened a second session of their Kids Summer Ceramics program because the first one filled up fast. Over five weeks, kids ages 6 and up will meet every Thursday starting June 18 for two hours of hands-on creating. We're talking pinch pot mugs, garden gnomes, coil fruit bowls, and yes, actual time on the pottery wheel. Each week brings a brand new project.
Beyond the muddy hands and good times, there are real benefits happening too, things like creativity, decision making, increased confidence, and even a little bit of science. meet the Maker It's the kind of summer activity that actually produces something your kid will want to show everyone.
The full five week session is $150, which honestly breaks down to a pretty great deal for what they're getting. Spots are limited so if this sounds like your kid's summer, don't wait on it.
