Calling all my fellow bookworms! Books & Bubbles is gathering at Scotto's Wine & Cider this Saturday to talk summer romance, and the lineup is perfect for the season. They are discussing Every Summer After by Carley Fortune and The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez, two reads practically made for a lake dock and a cold drink. Whether you devoured both books or just want to sip cider and soak up good conversation, this is such a fun way to spend a Saturday morning downtown. New faces always welcome!

Cellars is kicking off their Namaste + Rosé series this Sunday, and it might be the most relaxing hour you spend all month. Picture expert led yoga surrounded by vines, followed by a well earned glass of rosé. This one is perfect for the girls' morning out crowd, anyone who needs a reset after a long week, or yogis of any level (seasoned or brand new to the mat, you're welcome here. Tickets are $40 general admission and $35 for wine club members, and it runs every second Sunday through September, so if you miss this one you've got two more chances. Fair warning: you might come home with a new best friend. Hungry Tailz Rescue is bringing adoptable dogs and cats to Pet Supplies Plus this Saturday afternoon, and the lineup of little faces is dangerously cute. This one is perfect for families looking to add a furry member, anyone who's been thinking about adopting, or honestly anyone who just wants to pet some puppies and kittens on a Saturday (no judgment, we get it). Hotties Doing Pilates Part 2 | Sunday, August 2nd | 7:30 am
You asked, and Ruby listened! Hotties Doing Pilates is back for round two, and this time we are headed out to Acampo for an early morning sweat session with vendors, raffles, and all the good vibes. The class is led by the incredible Monica Martinez of Monica Martinez Yoga, who you might already know from her classes at Reformed Pilates Lodi. She is the real deal. Sourdough Bread for Beginners at Olive Crush Farms | Thursday, July 9th | 5:30-8:30 pm
Calling all aspiring bread bakers, this one's for you. Olive Crush Farms is hosting a hands on sourdough class tonight where you'll learn how to work mix ins like jalapeños, cheese, roasted garlic, and even chocolate chips into your dough without wrecking it.
You'll go home with your own loaf ready to bake the next day, plus a sourdough starter to keep the obsession going. It's perfect for total beginners, returning bakers, or anyone who's been watching sourdough videos and thinking
"I could do that." There will be baked treats and alcohol free drinks, and you're welcome to BYOB. Tickets are $95 with all supplies included, and all sales are final.

Comedylicious at Michael David Winery’s Bare Ranch | Saturday, July 11th | Doors 6:00 pm, Show 7:00–9:00 pm
Last call for laughs, this one is tomorrow night! Comedylicious is back at Bare Ranch, and it’s exactly the kind of night out Lodi does best: stand up comedy, local food trucks, and wine under the stars.
Headliner Auggie Smith is a national touring comedian who’s appeared on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and The Bob & Tom Show, and he’s bringing his rapid fire wit right here to Davis Road. This one is is perfect for date night, a group of friends who need a good excuse to get together, or anyone whose idea of a great Saturday involves BBQ, wine, and belly laughs. Parks Barks BBQ and Pink Me food trucks will be on site, so come hungry. Heads up: shows contain adult content and language, so this is a grown ups only kind of night. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show runs 7:00 to 9:00 pm, so grab your tickets today before they’re gone.

✨Community Spotlight
Lodi, we have a new supper club. Jimmy’s opened its doors yesterday at 317 E Kettleman Lane, and if that address sounds familiar, it should. It’s the original home of Pietro’s, the spot so many of us grew up celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and Friday nights in. When Pietro’s moved to its bigger, beautiful new home on Rocky Lane by Costco, the Murdaca family kept the old building and gave it a whole new life.
And what a life it is. Jimmy’s is an Italian-American supper club with a steakhouse soul: think sizzling steaks, house made pastas, lobster, a raw bar with oysters and caviar, and cold martinis poured strong. The name honors Jim Murdaca, who opened Pietro’s with his father Pietro back in 1985. Pete Murdaca says that for years, when people made plans at the old Kettleman location, they never said they were going to Pietro’s. They’d just say “Let’s go see Jimmy.” Now the building carries his name for good.
The ambience is a total transformation. The same team behind the new Pietro’s reimagined the space with a midcentury supper club feel: dim lights, a lingering soundtrack, nostalgic and a little funky, built for nights that don’t end early. Rather than tearing the building down, they preserved its bones and enhanced the original landscaping, so it still feels like the place we’ve always known, just dressed up for a night out. It seats 176 between the indoor dining room and outdoor spaces.
This one is perfect for date nights, celebration dinners, or anyone who’s been waiting for Lodi to have that old school, dressed up, martini in hand kind of evening. Jimmy’s serves dinner Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, Friday from 4:00 to 11:00 pm, and opens at 11:00 am on weekends. Reservations are on OpenTable.
